NECK FACE – CLOSED CASKET – OPENING

Halloween night proved to be the perfect setting for the opening of New York street artist, Neck Face’s, new hometown solo exhibit, Closed Casket (Oct. 31 – Nov. 24), at downtown gallery, Dactyl Foundation. The largely costumed crowd took in a wide offering of disturbingly entertaining paintings, sculptures and video installations that evoked the horror and snuff genres the artist has become identified with. Starting with the walk over to the gallery, the evening proved to be photo-worthy. The show was more than anticipated, with Neck Face delivering an impressively versatile body of original work, some already held in prominent private collections. And the way back home brought an unexpected surprise…
